Carlo Brittain and Sallie Hamlin Carlo was the son of George Brittain (often referred to as the Father of Harlan County) and Nancy Posey. Carlo was born October 20, 1819, and died, January 08, 1888. Sallie Hamlin was born 1825, Sallie died shortly after her daughter Sallie's birth born July 27, 1864, and married Hiram Cawood.   Submitted By: kcbass@hoptown.net .
