KENTUCKY TRAGEDY

Three men are killed in Harlan County and two others are supposed to be
wounded.

Pineville, Ky., May 24--A desperate fight occured on Martin's Fork, in  Harlan County, about ten miles from Harlan Courthouse, in which three  men were killed outright, and it is thought two others were wounded.
The men who were killed are Sinclaire Middleton, James Middleton, Jr. and R. Shackelford.  The three survivors are Gilbert Saylor, Noble Hensley, and Bert Hensley, Jr. It is thought that one or two of the survivors were wounded. The three men who were killed were all on the same side,  and it is said that they were attacked unarmed. There has been bad blood
existing between the parties for some time, but the immediate cause of
the trouble arose about Gilbert Saylor's wife. The three men had not
been arrested at last accounts, but the sheriff and posse had started
out for Harlan Courthouse for that purpose.
