William "Billy" Brawner


According to the Franklin County, Kentucky Vital Statistics, births 1857, William "Billy" Marian Brawner, son of John Brawner and Ann Warfield, was born on
September 9, 1857 in Franklin County, Kentucky. Billy married Mary "Mollie" Babbit, daughter of James and Mary Babbit in Franklin County, Kentucky on
January 11, 1881.  The William Brawner family is listed on the 1900 Franklin County, Kentucky census for the Flat Creek District.

The Shelby County, Kentucky death certificate for William Brawner states, William was widowed, a retired farmer, son of John Brawner, born in Franklin
County, Kentucky on August 31, 1853 and died of heart disease in Shelbyville, Shelby County, Kentucky on April 11, 1943 and buried in the Grove Hill
Cemetery on April 13, 1943.  The informant for this information was son, Harrison Brawner.  Mary "Mollie" Babbitt died in Shelby County, Kentucky on
September 3, 1942.  She is buried beside her husband in the Grove Hill Cemetery, in Shelby County, Kentucky.

Sarah Brawner, born between 1887 - 1892 (One source states November 1881) and died prior to 1900.
Iva Myrtle Brawner, born June 18, 1883 in Franklin County, Kentucky and died on January 23, 1943
in Woodford County, Kentucky. She married first, Henry D. Carter; second, Zerabelbal Vest and
third William Newkirk.
Herbert Noel Brawner, born  November  22, 1887 in Franklin County, Kentucky.  Herbert
died on December 25, 1948 at the home of his step-son, Sam Riddle, in Midway, Woodford County.
Sanford Farry Brawner, born about 1889 in Franklin County, Kentucky and drown in the Kentucky
River about 1901.
Henry Harrison Brawner, born June 1892 in Franklin County, Kentucky and died in Woodford
County, Kentucky in June of 1962.
