Immigrant
Michael Clore (Hans Michael Klaar), the progenitor of the Glore family in
America came to Virginia with the second Germanna Colony in 1717. From
Virginia some of this family
migrated
to Boone County, Kentucky and later to Indiana, Ohio, Illinois and on
west.
Fountain
Glore
was born in Virginia about 1804 and died in 1874. He married Malinda,
born
1804
in Kentucky. Date and place of marriage is unknown. Known children
are:

Lewis W., born about 1831in Fayette County, Kentucky |
George C., born about 1833 in Kentucky |
Mary,
born about 1835 in Franklin County, Kentucky. She married on July 16,
1855 in Franklin County to Henry Kesler, born about 1831 in Shelby County, Kentucky |
Edward, born about 1839 in Kentucky and died in 1872. |
Robert, born about 1842 in Kentucky |
Elizabeth, born about 1845 in Kentucky |
Lewis W. Glore, son of Fountain, was born about 1831, in Fayette County, Kentucky. He married in Franklin County, Kentucky on November 15, 1852 to Mary Ann, born about 1832 in Franklin County, Kentucky. Known children all born in Kentucky: Lewis K., born about 1858, Charles E., born about 1864, Arthur, born about 1868, Howard, born about 1870, Walter, born about 1872 and Nettie born about 1875.
Edward
Glore,
son of Fountain, was born about 1839 in Kentucky and died in 1872. On
October 1, 1857 in Franklin County, Lewis married Elizabeth Kesler, born
about 1835 in Shelby County, Kentucky and died in 1901. Lewis and Elizabeth
had the following known children; S. M. F., born October 4, 1858 in Franklin
County, Alice, born June 19, 1870, in Franklin County and died in Hamilton,
Butler County, Ohio in 1955, John, died before 1955, Maggie, died
before 1955 and married a Hazlett, Anna, died before 1955 and married a
Frazier.
Alice
Glore, daughter of Edward was born on June 19, 1870 in Frankfort, Franklin
County, Kentucky and died in Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio in 1955. Alice
is buried in the Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton, Ohio. She married
first Dennis Lewis on October 21, 1892 in Franklin County. Dennis was born
in 1865 and died in1895. Alice married second, George Francis Lorain
Allgaier on March 10, 1897 in Frankfort, Franklin County, Kentucky. He
died on December 29, 1934.
Adam
Glore
was born in Virginia about 1805. He married first an Elizabeth, maiden
name unknown and second in
Anderson
County, Kentucky on December 31, 1846 to Eliza Ellen Goins, born about 1825
in Kentucky.

James and Elizabeth had the following children all born in Kentucky; Sarah C., born about 1861, Mary, born about 1864, Laroer?, born about 1867, James, born about 1871, George H., born January 29, 1874 in Franklin County.
Henrietta Glore, daughter of Elijah, born about 1842 in Franklin County. She married Robert W. Owen on March 26, 1868 in Franklin County. They had one known daughter, Amanda C., born March 15, 1874 in Franklin County.
William Butler Glore, son of Elijah, was born on November 6, 1844 in Franklin County and died January 20, 1929 in Franklin County. William married Amanda F. White, born about 1848 in Kentucky, on February 6, 1868 in Franklin County. They were the parents of the following, all born in Kentucky; James, born about 1869, George, born about 1871, Nannie, born about 1874, Charlie, born about 1877, Robert, born about 1878 and Luella, born on June 20k, 1885 in Franklin County and died on November 11, 1917 in Franklin County.
