McQuiddy Family

David McQuiddy, Jr. was born about 1730 in Ballymena, Antrim, Ireland.  He died in Spotsylvania County, Virginia about 1785.  David married Mary Todd,
daughter of William Todd and Jean Lowe on May 6, 1755 in Overwharton, Stafford County, Virginia.  Mary was born in 1735 in Stafford County, Virginia.
She died after 1797 in Woodford County, Kentucky.  David and Mary had children; Nancy, born July 10, 1756, died 1757 in Stafford County, Virginia; Thomas;
James, born 1757 probably in  Virginia and died on July 11, 1835 in Franklin County, Kentucky; William; John; Joseph, born 1762 in Virginia; and Margaret.

Thomas McQuiddy was born 1757 in Stafford County, Virginia and died in Franklin County, Kentucky on July 11, 1835.  He married
Nancy ____? about 1777.  She was born about 1760.  Thomas and Mary had the following children;

Elizabeth P. McQuiddy, married John Mayhall in 1817.  Elizabeth and John are buried in the Mayhall Burying Ground located on Brown's
Lane in Franklin County.  Elizabeth P. Mayhall (wife of John Mayhall, Aged 54 years), died April 22, 1851.  This would make her birth
around 1799.  John Mayhall, according to tombstone inscriptions, was born April 23, 1792 and died June 20, 1862.  Also, buried here is
Ann E. Mayhall, daughter of J. & Eliza. Mayhall, Age 16 years, 8 mos.), died January 11, 1837.

William McQuiddy was born about 1799.  His first wife was Mary ___?  William married second in Breckinridge County, Kentucky on
October 22, 1854 to Elizabeth Gilleland.

Mary McQuiddy was born on March 10, 1800 in Virginia.  She married Thomas Vawter Newman, son of Edmund St. John Newman and
Mary Conquest Wyatt.  Thomas was born on January 18, 1795 in Breckinridge County, Kentucky.  Mary died on October 18, 1835 and
Thomas followed her in death May 27, 1837.  They both died in Breckinridge County, Kentucky.

Polly McQuiddy, birth unknown, married Samuel Pate.  She died before Samuel sometime prior to 1835.

William McQuiddy was born 1757/1758 in Culpeper County, Virginia and died in Franklin County, Kentucky on October 27, 1832.  He
is buried in section M of the Frankfort Cemetery.  His tombstone read; William McQuiddy 1752 - 1832 Revolutionary Soldier.  William
married Alice McKee about 1770.  Alice was born in 1753 and died in 1835.  The couple had one known son John, born about 1772.        

John McQuiddy was born on March 22, 1760  in Culpeper County, Virginia and died on December 24, 1841 at Mortonsville, Woodford
County, Kentucky and is buried in Woodford County.  John married first, Sarah "Sallie" Elizabeth West in Spotsylvania or Culpeper
County, Virginia in 1784.  Sallie was born about 1765 and died in Versailles, Woodford County, Kentucky in 1835.  She was buried at
Mortonsville, Woodford County, Kentucky.  John married second in Woodford County, Kentucky to Susanna Hanks on December 5, 1836.
John and Sallie had the following children:

Mary "Polly" McQuiddy was born in 1786 in Culpeper County, Virginia and died after July 10, 1815 in Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana.
The cause of death was wounded in the Battle of Tippecanoe.  She was buried in Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana.  Mary married
Thomas Jones Shouse, son of Heinrich Schauss and Elizabeth Rose Jones on October 7, 1801 in Woodford County, Kentucky.  Thomas
was born in December 1799 in Woodford County, Kentucky and died on April 29, 1820 in Woodford County, Kentucky.

James McQuiddy was born in 1788 in Fayette County, Kentucky and died in 1859 in Anderson County, Kentucky.  He married on
December 24, 1811 in Woodford County, Kentucky to Jane Bourne Perry, daughter of Lewis Perry and Jane Bourne.  She was born in
1793 and died in Kentucky in 1858.

John McQuiddy, Jr. was born on June 12, 1790 in Versailles, Woodford County, Kentucky and died on October 10, 1863 in Bedford
County, Tennessee.  John married Achsah Dale, daughter of Abraham Dale and Mary Weakley on March 24, 1814 in Versailles, Woodford
County, Kentucky.  Achsah was born on February 20, 1793 in Versailles, Woodford County, Kentucky and died on March 7, 1882 in Haley,
Bedford County, Tennessee.  John and Achsah are buried in Thompson Cemetery, Normandy Lake, Bedford County, Tennessee.

Susanna McQuiddy was born on July 31, 1792 in Woodford County, Kentucky and died in 1878 in Clay County, Missouri.  She married
William M. Thomasson on October 16, 1818 in Woodford County, Kentucky.  William was born on April 12, 1788 in Woodford County,
Kentucky and died on March 8, 1858 in Clay County, Missouri.

Benjamin West McQuiddy was born on September 2, 1794 in Woodford County, Kentucky and died on April 7, 1829 in Liberty, Clay
County, Missouri and was buried in the McQuiddy Cemetery at Liberty.  Benjamin married Dianah Dicy Shouse, daughter of Heinrich
Schauss and Elizabeth Rose Jones on April 18, 1816 in Woodford County, Kentucky.  Dianah was born on February 17, 1795 in Woodford
County, Kentucky and died on May 9, 1867 in Missouri.  She was buried in May 1867 in Clay County, Missouri.

Elizabeth "Betsy" McQuiddy was born on November 4, 1796 in Mortonsville, Woodford County, Kentucky and died on January 26, 1868
in Woodford County, Kentucky.  She married Jeremiah Nash on January 5, 1815 in Woodford County, Kentucky.  Jeremiah was born in
1780 in Virginia and died in 1852 in Woodford County, Kentucky.

David McQuiddy was born in 1802 in Woodford County, Kentucky and died before 1850 in Clay County, Missouri.  He married Ann Mariah
Arnold, daughter of Lewis.  Ann was born on March 2, 1806 and died on April 18, 1859 in Clay County, Missouri.  She was buried in the
McQuiddy Cemetery at Liberty, Clay County, Missouri.

Ann Nancy McQuiddy was born in 1805 in Mortonsville, Woodford County, Kentucky and died on August 20, 1879.  She married William
Tillery, Jr., son of William Tillery, Sr., on August 13, 1815 in Woodford County, Kentucky.

Margaret "Peggy" McQuiddy was born in 1768 in Spotsylvania County, Virginia.  She married William Bassett, Sr.
