Geneva A. Green Toon 1916 - 2004
    McKINNEY, Texas - Geneva A. Green Toon, 87, McKinney, Texas, and
formerly of Fredonia, died Friday, June 25, 2004, at her home.
    She was born Nov. 16, 1916, in Ava, Mo., the daughter of William and
Alpha Mae Manning.
    She lived for more than 80 years in Fredonia, moving recently to
McKinney to be close to family.
    She was a homemaker and also worked at the Parsons Ordnance Plant
during World War II and at Ray's Lunch for 14 years. She retired after
24 years with Kansas Bank Note Company.
    She was a member of Assembly of God Church, Fredonia.
    In 1934, she married Charles C. Green in Fredonia. He died Feb. 2,
1980.
    In 1983, she married Wm. Alfred Toon. He died May 3, 1993.
    Survivors include two sons, Robert L. Green, Mt. Vernon, Ind., and
Richard A. Green, McKinney, Texas; four sisters, Kathryn Mayfield,
Topeka, Sybil Beard and Julia Adams, both of Fredonia, and Patsy Rice,
Omaha, Neb.; two brothers, Max L. Manning, Topeka, and Billy Manning,
Highlandville, Mo.; eight grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Peak Hestead, and two
brothers, Gearl B. and Gene Manning.
    Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 3, at the
funeral home, led by the Rev. Steve Sweitzer. Burial will be in
Fredonia City Cemetery.
    The family will receive friends from 6 - 7:30 p.m. Friday at the
funeral home.
    Timmons Funeral Home, Fredonia, is in charge of arrangements.
