Elizabeth Wulf, 97

Elizabeth Wulf was born May 18, 1912, in rural Barton County, KS to the late George and Mollie Nee (Bender) Deines. She passed away Sunday, March 14, 2010 in the Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital in WaKeeney at the age of 97.

On March 12, 1933, Elizabeth married Wesley Daubert, He passed away in 1947. She then married Henry Wulf on January 29, 1949 in the Zion Lutheran Church at Trego Center. Henry passed away in 1971.

Elizabeth was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and numerous organizations and activities. She was an avid seamstress and sewed many years to help support the family after the loss of her husband. Many times, her family depended on her to nurse their sickly plants back to health as she was known for her green thumb.

Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Neff Mai and husband, Don, Kathryn Wulf; four grandchildren, Wesley Daubert, Kenneth Neff and wife, Renee, Shelley Berning and husband, Ted, Deborah Spratlen and husband, Royce; eight great-grandchildren, Denise Neff and fianc�, Kody Moody, Matthew and Brandon Neff, Nicholas, Nathan, Nolan, Bethany, and Noah Berning; and a great-great-grandson, Nathan Neff.

Those preceding her in death were her husbands, Wesley and Henry ; two sons, Wesley Dean and Larry Dwayne Daubert; a son-in-law, Leon Neff; four brothers, Sam, Fred, Julius and Leo Deines; four sisters, Mollie Ehrlich, Leah Gideon Heronemus, Elma Dirks, and Pauline Perkins.

Services for Elizabeth were held Wednesday, March 17, 2010 in Bethlehem Lutheran Church at WaKeeney with Pastor Randy Gibbs officiating. Interment is in WaKeeney City Cemetery.
