William "Bill" Pickering, 93, WaKeeney, died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006, at Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital Assisted Living, WaKeeney.
He was born May 11, 1913, in Trego County to Thomas J. and Cora Mae (Middleton) Pickering. He was a 1931 graduate of Trego Community High School, WaKeeney.
He married Maxine M. (Berger) Pickering on May 25, 1937, in WaKeeney. She preceded him in death Dec. 29, 1991. He was a postal carrier.
Survivors include two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Sue Deckert, on Jan. 23, 1998.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, WaKeeney; burial in WaKeeney City Cemetery.
