LITTLE RIVER  Helen M. Gaede, 96, died Dec. 29, 2005, at Sandstone Heights Nursing Home, Little River.
 
She was born April 18, 1909, in McPherson, the daughter of John F. and Edith Bell VanDruff Davis.  She graduated from Little River High School in 1929 and attended Hutchinson Junior College.  A longtime area resident, she was a homemaker and seamstress.
 
She belonged to United Methodist Church and the E.H.U., both in Little River and was a 4-H Leader for Galt Live Wires.
 
On Oct 29, 1933, she married Ruben Gaede in Geneseo.  He died Jan 11, 1989.
 
Survivors include : a son, Byron L., Berthough, Colo.; two daughters, Edythe Vibbert, Hutchinson, and Kay Purkapile, DeBarry, Fla.; a brother; H. Alvin Davis, Mount Hope; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
 
She was precede in death by a brother, Cecil Davis; a sister, Midred McCants; and a grandson.
 
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at United Methodist Church, Little River, with the Rev. Adelia Hooley presiding.  Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Sillin Funeral Home, Lyons.  Burial will be in Bean Memorial Cemetery, Little River.
 
Memorials may be sent to Sandstone Heights Nursing Home, in care of the funeral home.
