SCOTT, Raymond Lee The Hill City Times -- Hill City, March 15, 2000
Raymond Lee Scott, 72, of Hill City, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2000, at the Trego County Lemke memorial Hospital in WaKeeney. He was born on July 13, 1927 in rural Graham County, Kansas, the son of Floyd Albert and Gladys Marie (BALDWIN) SCOTT.

A lifetime resident of the area and a farmer, Raymond married Melva Maxine HUNTER on December 31, 1947 in Hill City. She died on February 14, 1988. Raymond was also preceded in death by his parents; his wife; by a daughter, Linda Sue SCOTT; and by a brother, Lloyd SCOTT.

Survivors include; four sons, James Earl SCOTT of Hill City, roger SCOTT of Arapahoe, Nebraska, Ron SCOTT of Oberlin, and Mike SCOTT of Hill City; three daughters, Barbara SCOTT, Dorothy SCOTT and Gail MARTIN, all of Arapahoe, Nebraska; two brothers, Ralph SCOTT of Plainville and Dr. Duane SCOTT of Belleville; two sisters, Donna CLARKE of LaSalle, Colorado and Sally REIDEL of Overland Park, Kansas; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 13, 2000 at Spencer Chapel in Hill City. Officiating was Pastor Mehl Cruit, and burial was in the Hill City Cemetery, Hill City. Memorials were suggested to the Graham County Hospital, Hill City.
