John P. "Brandy" Knoll, age 78, died Thursday, February 3, 2000, at the Graham County Hospital, Hill City, Kansas
He was born October 14, 1921, in St. Peter, Kansas, to Peter J. and Rose (GABEL) KNOLL. He never married, and was a resident of the Dawson Place Nursing Home, Hill City, Kansas, for two months.
Brandy spent his lifetime in the Hill City area. He attended school in St. Peter, Kansas and was a 1942 graduate of Morland High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in World War II.

He worked for the Sonny Goodrow Farm, for Tebo Implement, and for the Graham County HighwayDepartment, having retired in 1987. He was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hill City.
Survivors include two brothers, Nick KNOLL of Hill City, and William KNOLL, Denver, Colorado; and five sisters, Mary Ann KNOLL of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Dorothy JOHNSON of Dallas, Texas, Irene KNOLL and Rose KNOLL, both of Hill City, and Mildred BOTTOMLY of Hays.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Anton KNOLL and Alfred KNOLL; and by one sister, Sophie KNOLL.

His body was cremated and graveside services will be held at a later date at the Hill City Cemetery, Hill City, Kansas. Cline's Mortuary of Hays was in charge of arrangements; and memorials were suggested to the Dawson Place Nursing Home in Hill City.
