Gertrude (Lynd) Hobbs, 93, WaKeeney, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2006, at Lutheran Home, WaKeeney. She was born May 25, 1913, in Ellis, daughter of Charles Augustus and Elida (Perkins) Lynd. She graduated from Ellis High School and later received a teaching certificate. She married Dean Klio Hobbs on May 21, 1936, in Goodland. He preceded her in death April 4, 1993. She was a school teacher. Gertrude was a long time resident of Graham County.
Survivors include two sons; Terry Hobbs, and Klio Hobbs, a brother, Jack Lynd, three sisters, Mary Hughs, Marie Beeghly, and Pat Plomondon, seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Burial in WaKeeney City Cemetery.
