William Paul Dead.

  William Paul died yesterday, at 10 o’clock a. m., at his home, on east Second avenue, from cerebral hemorrhage; aged seventy-five years.  The funeral service was held at the family home, at 1 o’clock, today, conducted by Rev. Ben D. Gillispie, assisted by the G. A. R. post of which deceased was a member.  Burial was in the Canton (or Judy) cemetery.

  The surviving members, of the immediate family, are the wife and two daughters, Mrs. Rosa B. Post and Mrs. Ben Thomas, of this county; Charles Paul of Chanute, and Jacob Paul, of Garnett, brothers, and Mrs. Wm. D. Hamilton and Mrs. Evalyn Fields, sisters, of this county.

  William Paul was a native of Ohio and came to Anderson county before the war.  His wife was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bealer, of Union township, and the family home was in the township until four years ago when they removed to Garnett.

  Deceased was in the Second Kansas cavalry, during the war, and a member of the Grand Army post of this city.  He was a fine citizen and good friend and neighbor.  He leaves many friends in this community, with which he has been identified so many years.
