DEATHS

  Wm. Davis, Sr., died at his home in this city Tuesday morning, just two weeks after the death of his wife, who passed away January 11.

  Mr. Davis was born in Indiana more than eighty-five years ago.  He was married to Rosabel DeRome, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, October 18, 1856.  He was the father of five children only two of whom survive him.  They are Thomas Davis and W. A. Davis of Pittsburg.

  Mr. Davis was an old soldier and made a good record during the war.  He served in Co. C, 12th Indiana.  He came to this city about twenty years ago resided in the southwest part of the city.  He had been in poor health for several months, and had been confined to the house for several weeks.

  The funeral services were held at St. Francis church, yesterday afternoon, and he was buried in the Catholic cemetery.
