Good Man Gone.

  Nathan Wilkins, who has resided in the vicinity of Scranton for many years, and who was widely known over Osage county as well, died at his home on June 7, after a short illness.  Mr. Wilkins was born in Knox county, Ohio, July 2, 1841, almost seventy-six years ago.  He enlisted in the Civil war in Co. G, 3rd Ohio Reg. Vol. Cavalry, and served until the end of the war.  He had been four times married; the first two wives were sisters; the third, Mrs. Smith, mother of the Misses Buell, and a few years ago he was married to Mrs. Rist of Scranton who survives him, together with a daughter and two sons.  A son, who was called here from California, was taken ill since his arrival and was unable to attend the funeral.  A brother, aged 83, was here from Baldwin for the funeral, driving his own car over.

  Mr. Wilkins was of a robust type of manhood, stalwart in body and character.  He had a wide circle of very warm friends.  Funeral services were held at the M. E. church in Scranton on Friday, and interment was made in the Burlingame cemetery.  He was buried with Grand Army honors by the local Post of the G. A. R.
