JOSEPH L. SIX DEAD
Death relieved the suffering of Joseph L. Six Saturday, October 26, at 7 o’clock p. m. Mr. Six had a stroke of paralysis a week from which he never recovered.
The deceased was 69 years of age and served with distinction throughout the Civil war. He fought in forty different battles and was three times taken prisoner. After the war he was very active in business life.
Soon after the Civil war he was married and from this union four sons and one daughter survives him. Eleven years ago he was married to Mrs. Murphy who also survives him,.
The funeral services were held Sunday October 27 at 2 p. m. conducted by Rev. Ray York, of Osawatomie. The Masons and the G. A. R. held services over the remains after it was followed by the sorrowing relatives and friends to the Fontana cemetery and tenderly laid to rest.
