Deaths.
TOLOR—Wednesday
Feb. 6, 1907, at 4 a. m. in his home in this city, Mr. John R. Tolor.
Mr. Tolor
was born at Madison, Ind., July 17, 1832; was married to Miss Susan Hodgson July
22, 1867; moved to Severy August 1883, where with his wife they have since made
their home. He was an old soldier, having enlisted in Co. H, 8th Ind.
Cavalry, Sept. 20, 1861; and was honorably discharged at Memphis, Tenn., Sept.
20, 1864.
The
deceased leaves and invalid wife, who for a number of years has been taken care
of by her husband and the loss will be great to her, who has the sympathy of all
in her sad bereavement.
Mr. Tolor
has not been in good health for a long time and Saturday while up town was taken
with a stroke of apoplexy which was the cause of death.
Services
were held at the home yesterday at 3 p. m. by the G. A. R. and Ladies Circle of
the G. A. R., after which the remains were taken to the M. E. church where Rev.
Rhoadea preached a short funeral sermon and the remains were taken to Twin
Groves cemetery for interment.
