Died: Jan. 6, 1900
The illness of John Rusk, mentioned from time to time in these columns, terminated Saturday morning at 2 o’clock in his death. The interment took place in the Jackson cemetery Saturday afternoon, the A. F. and A. M. conducting the funeral rites. Mr. Rusk was in his sixty-forth year and had lived in this vicinity about twenty years. Mrs. Rusk is a sister of C. B. Jackson. Three children survive him, all of whom have been making their home with their parents. Mr. Rusk was a veteran of the Civil War, an agreeable and accommodating neighbor and will be missed by his old associates. Only time can heal the grief of the sorrowing family. Peace to his soul.
