He Was Walking With His Grandson
When Death Came.

John M. Cossitt, 76 years old, a resident of Wichita 42 years, dropped dead from heart disease in the third block on North Main Street at 5 o’clock Monday night while walking with his grandson, Bruce Cossitt. He was one of the earliest engineers of the city.
The deceased was a member of Garfield Post, G. A. R., serving in Company K, 100th Illinois. His wife and five children are living. The children are Fred J. Cossitt, 447 Riverside Avenue; C. M. Cossitt, 355 Indiana Avenue; C. F. Cossitt, 355 Indiana Avenue; Misses Mayme and Kathryn Cossitt, residing with their mother. Funeral from the residence, 455 Riverside Avenue, Wednesday at 2 o’clock.
The Garfield Post will assemble at its post room at 2 o’clock Wednesday to attend the funeral. Pallbearers for the deceased are: G. W. Bristow, J. M. Knapp, M. H. Bruce, J. B. Fishback, W. B. Miller and M. M. McCullister.
