FINDLEY.
Gabriel M. Findley was born in Jackson Co., Indiana May 12, 1834, died at Coyville, Kansas, Dec. 23, 1910 aged 76 years 7 mo. and 11 days. He enlisted in U. S. Army August 9, 1862 for 3 years in Co. K, 67 Reg. Ind. Vol. Inf., discharged at Trenton New Jersey July 6th 1865. He was married to Mary Cornett, March 16th 1859; to this union was born 2 sons, Thomas and William who are still living. He came to Kansas in August 1868, to Woodson county and has resided in that county and Wilson county continuously since. He leaves to mourn, a wife, two sons, and one brother. The funeral services were held at his home in Coyville Sunday at 10 a. m. Dec. 25, by Rev. J. H. Oliver pastor of the M. E. church in Toronto and the remains were laid in east Toronto cemetery. The burial services were conducted by the I. O. O. F. of which he was a member. The bereaved widow and relatives have the heart felt sympathy of all in their bereavement.
