FRED H. GURTLER---Aged 77 years, died yesterday morning at his home, 111 Morse street. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon from the home, and will be private except for members of Blue Post No. 250, G. A. R. and the Women’s Relief Corps No. 5. Interment in Topeka cemetery. Mr. Gurtler came to Topeka from West Virginia in 1865 and settled on the spot that is now 721 Clay Street. He was one of the men who worked on the old east wing of the state capital building.
