NEWSPAPER UNKNOWN, 14 February 1934
Obituary of  THEODORE EICHMAN
Theodore EICHMAN, son of Frederick and Henriette (Henrietta??) EICHMAN, was born Aug 11, 1846 at the Laurenberg, Germany and departed this life
Feb 14, 1934, at the age of 87 years, 6 months and 3 days.

Of 11 children, 1 brother and 3 sisters survive, all living in or near Chicago, Illinois.

Early in life he was confirmed in the faith of the
Lutheran church, remaining faithful until death. Leaving his childhood home he sailed for America on Nov 15, 1868, arriving in New York on Jan 29, 1869.

A carpenter by trade he worked at this trade in Chicago after the great fire. Coming to Kansas in 1875, he settled on a homestead in Jewell Co, later trading for a farm just east of Haddam and has since made his home in this vicinity, living on the farm
continuously for 41 years.

He was married to Julia Elizabeth WELCH on
Aug 30, 1881. To this union were born 7 children, who, with his wife, live to mourn his passing. They are Mrs. Nellie GREEN, Mrs. Minnie LINDSLEY, Lawrence F. and Earl F., Mrs. Lillian BERTRAM and Daisy and
Irving J. of the home, besides 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. EICHMAN celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Aug 30, 1931.

Mr. EICHMAN was quiet and industrious, loving his home and family and doing all he could for their comfort and happiness, having the respect of his many friends and neighbors. Being in failing health for the past 7 years, seriously ill for two months, he was patient and uncomplaining through all his suffering ready to go at the Master's call.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at
3 o'clock at the Blocker Church with the Rev. John H. WOLFE of Pawnee City, NE in charge. Interment was made in the Blocker Cemetery.
