Notice of Death of SIEGMUND KEIL

Siegmund Keil, 74, of 1713 Holland, died this morning at the Central Kansas Medical Center where he had been a patient ten days. Born August 9, 1894 near Galatia in Barton County, he married Ernestine Becker, Dec. 19, 1915 at Milberger. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Roy E. Knupp Construction Co. He came here in 1941 from Russell.

He was a charter member of St. Mark Lutheran Church.
He is survived by the widow; sons, Melvin and Arnold, Great Bend, and Luther, Framingham, Mass.; daughters, Mrs. Douglas (Leona) Crotty, Jr., Garden City, Mrs. Herbert (Milda) Hopper, Clearwater, Fla., and Mrs. Lyman (Esther) Kruckenberg, Great Bend; brothers Emanuel and Alvin both of Great Bend and Edwin, Bunker Hill; sisters, Mrs. Floyd Brack and Mrs. Edwin Brack, both of Otis; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Walter Lentz officiating. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cook and Weber Funeral Home until 1 p.m. Monday and at 1:50 p.m. at the church. The casket will not be opened after the service. The family suggests memorials to the church.
