Obituary of RICHARD P. LEE |
Richard P. Lee, 86, of Bella Vista, died Monday, July 9,
2001, at Bates Medical Center in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was born March 14, 1915, in Topeka, to DeWitt and Anna Maude Daub Lee. He married Sylvia May Rogers on June 9, 1940, in Fredonia, Kansas. He moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas in 1980 from Kansas City, Missouri. He was a member of Bella Vista Community Church. Mr. Richard Lee will be remembered in Luray area. Mr. Lee was an instructor in the Luray High School and coached athletics from 1937 - 1940. They usually returned to the Luray area during Memorial Day weekend. He was director of technical research for Farmland Industries for 35 years. He was active in Boy Scouts in Kansas City, Missouri, and was a member of Bella Vista 18 Hole Men's Golf Association, Bella Vista, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by: one brother, Henry Lee; and one sister, Margaret Holmes. Survivors include: his wife, Sylvia May Lee; three sons, Dr. Richard A. Lee, Middletown, Ohio, Timothy D. Lee, Kingwood, Texas, and Dr. Kenneth D. Lee, Littleton, Colorado; and six grandchildren. A memorial service was held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 14, at Bella Vista Community Church with the Rev. Richard Lindman officiating. Arrangements were by Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorials may be made to the Community Church Building Fund; or to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 710 W. 168th St., New York, N.Y. 10032. |
