Obituary of ROSEMARY G. FARMER |
(There is a picture in the paper of Mrs. Farmer) Rosemary G. Farmer, 87, died Thursday, March 21, 2002, at Russell Regional Hospital, Russell. She was born January 22, 1915, at Charleston, Missouri to Harry Simpson and Mary Catherine "Cassie" Presson Giltz. She married John O. Farmer, Jr. on May 22, 1937, at Hobbs, N.M. He died May 2, 1989. She moved to Great Bend in 1946 and on to Russell in 1947. She was a homemaker and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Russell. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; one infant son, James Glitz Farmer; and two brothers, Harry and John Giltz. Survivors include two sons, John O. Farmer, III, Russell, and William Farmer, New York, N.Y.; one daughter, Mary Katheryn Lyczak, Russell; one sister, Aura Gertrude "Trudy" Vollmer, Cincinnati, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Services were at 10 a.m. Monday, March 25, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Russell, with Fr. Charles Steier and Fr. James Grennan officiating. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery, Russell. Memorials are suggested to Russell Area Community Foundation - St. Mary's Catholic Church Fund, Russell Regional Hospital, both of Russell; and Dream Theater, Russell. Cline's Mortuary, Hays, was in charge of arrangements. |
