Pauline Krug, daughter of George Jacob and Katherine (Reinhardt) Dumler, was born at a family farm home southwest of Russell on October 24, 1889. He departed this life at The Hadley Memorial Hospital, Hays, Kansas on December 18, 1966. Her age was 77 years, 1 month and 24 days. On January 20, 1907, she was united in marriage to George Henry (Harry) Krug in the Bender Hill Church. After their marriage they established their home on a farm 9 miles southwest of Russell to become a vital part of that community. In 1935 they retired from active farming and came to Russell to establish their home at 207 Kansas Street. Here also, she became a part of the community life and with her cheerful disposition, a smile for everyone and her interest in her church, her family and home, together with her creative ability in art, knitting, and other home crafts, she held the esteem and friendship of all who came in contact with her. |
