Obituary of PAUL C. ANSCHUTZ |
Paul C. Anschutz, 86, Russell, died Saturday, December
22, 2001, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. He was born December 16, 1915, near Dorrance, the son of Ernest C. and Lena R. Koetkemeyer Anschutz. He married Helen A. Tiedeman May 12, 1946, at Russell. He lived his early live in the Dorrance area where he graduated from high school. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army. After his marriage, he and his wife lived in the Dorrance area for about four years before moving to a farm northeast of Russell. He was a lifetime farmer/stockman, moving to Russell in 1963 when
Wilson Dam took the homestead. He was preceded in death by: his parents; five brothers, George, Harold, Willis, Louis and Leo Anschutz. Survivors include: his wife of the home; one son, Steven Anschutz,
Grand Island, Nebraska; one daughter, Annette Moore, Lyons; one sister,
Frances Jackman, El Dorado; and three grandchildren. Burial followed at Russell City Cemetery, Russell. (Note: There is a very nice picture of Mr. Anschutz in the paper.) |
