Obituary of MICHAEL F. "MIKE" DUMLER
Michael "Mike" Dumler, 73, 1417 Elm St., died at 3:55 p.m. Tuesday (10 September 1963) following a two and one half week illness. Death came at the Russell Rest Home where he has been for the past two weeks.

Funeral services have been set for 1:40 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at the Deines Brothers Funeral Home and at 2:00 p.m. from St. John's Lutheran church. Rev. Reinhold Sedo will officiate. Burial will be in the Russell Cemetery where Dumler was a caretaker for several years.
His (second) wife died three weeks ago, Aug. 22.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ophelia (John) Voos, Russell. Mrs. Bertha (George) Wagner, WaKeeney, and Mrs. Cleo Quinley, Kansas City, Kan.; two sons, Lee, McCook, Neb., and Vernon, Salina. He is also survived by four step-children, Everitt Sheldon, McPherson, Clyde Sheldon, Sidney, Neb., Dale Sheldon, Casper, Wyo.; and Mrs. Erwin Dewald, Russell; a sister, Mrs. Mollie Foos, Greeley, Colo., and 18 grandchildren.

Born Feb. 8, 1888 in Friedenfeldt, Russia, Dumler came to the United States with his parents at the age of four. He has lived in the Russell area since arriving in the United States and was a retired farmer and laborer. In January 1908, he married the former Matilda Luck who died in 1949. His marriage to Iva M. Sheldon was in October, 1950.
He was a life-long member of the Lutheran church.
