Obituary of ALEXANDER MAIER
Alexander Maier, 69, died Thursday morning (Note: Entry is undated, estimate the date as 1966 or 1967) at the Hoisinton Hospital where he had been a patient three months. Born March 14, 1897 in Russell County, he had spent his lifetime in the Galatia community as a farmer.

He was married May 19, 1929 to Mollie Lock Wagner at Otis.  He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

He is survived by the widow; sons, Vernon, Russell, Albert, Great Bend; Alan, Olmitz, and Ernest Wagner, Great Bend; daughtes, Mr. Glen Ehrlich, Russell, Mrs. Earl Garver, Humansville, Mo., and Mrs. Omer Biberle, Bushton; brothers, John, Russel, and William, Henry and Lewis, all of Otis; sister, Mrs. Pete Lohman, Kerwin; 23 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Theo H. Judt officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Galatia. The family suggests memorials to the Martin Luther Home, Beatrice, Neb. Friends may call at the Burgat Funeral Home, Hoisington, until 11 a.m. Monday.
