Obituary of LETA MAY BROWN |
"Death Takes Missionary" ------------------------------ Services for Miss Leta May Brown, 74, who was "living link" missionary of Central Christian church, 37 years in India, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Parker Funeral home, Columbia, MO. Burial will be in Columbia. Miss Brown died there Sunday at Lenoir Memorial Home, retirement home of the church for missionaries and ministers and their wives. She entered the home about two years ago. She was born at Parker, Linn County Kansas (18 Jan 1892) and educated in Kansas City Kansas and became a registered nurse at Old Christian Church Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs.. W. S. Haines, Chanute, KS; Mrs.. Carrie Frost, Arvin, CA. and Mrs. Eva Cramer, Houston, TX. |
