Obituary of AXUM SCOTT HULS
Axum Scott Huls was born Nov 3, 1852 at Shelbyville, Indiana. Died Sept. 28, 1929. When sixteen years of age, he moved with his parents to Labette Co. Kansas. He was married there on January 11, 1874 and two years later moved to Iowa. That same year they moved to Springtown, Arkansas where they made their home until 1911 when they came to Idaho, living in Aberdeen a year and in American Falls five years. 
In 1917 Mr. and Mrs. Huls went to Paola, Kansas and two years ago returned to Aberdeen to make their home. Mrs. Huls who preceeded her husband into the great beyond last May took sick the first of the year at which time the parents took up residence at the home of their daughter, Mrs. C.P. Abercrombie. Mr. Huls remained in good health till August 1, last, and his condition continued to get more serious until death overtook him at 11:00 AM on September 28, 1929. 
Mr. Huls was a blacksmith by trade and was thusly occupied until he came to Idaho, when he occupied himself at minor activities. 
The deceased leaves to mourn his departure: 3 daughters, Mrs. Lina Waford, Aberdeen; Mrs. Dora Abercrombie, Aberdeen; Mrs. Alice Abercrombie, Aberdeen; 3 sons, Mac E. Huls, Burley, Idaho; W.M. Huls, Maxwell, California; Leland Huls, Aberdeen; One sister, Mrs. Leisa Maples, Paola, Kansas; and 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
