The Nalls, Porters, and their other neighbors made up this association. Offices were elected and donations were given to fund the care of the cemetery in apparent exchange for lots. The association continued to have yearly meetings, and provide donations in this way, into the next generation of the Nalls and their neighboring families. In 1968, the first official plat was made in the newly developed city of Prairie Village. The first plots were sold to Asher Langworthy, and his namesake and other descendents of those first pioneers still hold offices in the Highland Cemetery Association today. Transcriber's Note: This is a complete transcription by reading and photographing the gravestones. Additional information was provided by the sexton. Cemetery Condition: This cemetery is mowed. The grounds are primarily covered by an ivy or vine. Some of the stones are illegible and broken, and there is evidence of missing stones. About the Cemetery: Highland Cemetery, also referred to as Nall Cemetery, is tucked away in a quaint residential neighborhood in Prairie Village, KS, near the state and city line of Kansas City, Missouri. In the 1850s, this land was part of the Shawnee Nation reservation. When the Shawnees were later removed to Oklahoma, pioneer brothers John and Thomas Nall and their families squatted out 200 acres and became prosperous farmers. Half of this one-cre cemetery was owned by John Nall, the other by a friend and neighbor, John A White, and Indian. It is believe White is interred here with his wife. * = Supplimented from sexton records, # = Supplimented from Cemetery Index, ^ = Added from Cemetery Index (no stone) ??, ??; d. 21 Apr 1866, 10 yrs ??, ????ens Eurene; b. 1870, d. 1890, Son of ?? and C A ???, Stone illegible ??, John W; d. 28 Jul 1860 ??, Joseph; d. 01 Jan 186?, s/w Mary ?? ??, Mary;, s/w Joseph ?? ??, Thomas A;, Son of ??, ^ Bates, Dora Jean; b. 1905 Bates, Kenneth M; b. 1905, d. 1971 Boles, Elizabeth; b. 14 Mar 1843, d. 09 Feb 1922, s/w Thomas Nall, Mary Nall Bowers, Garland Thiermann; b. 21 Feb 1901, d. 22 Jan 1982 Bowers, Naomi Lois; b. 06 Feb 1911, d. 27 Jul 1966 Bowers, Peter Elwood; b. 12 Oct 1893, d. 21 Jul 1968 Bowers, Peter Elwood Jr; b. 18 Sep 1928, d. 21 May 1996 Brewer, Archer; d. 02 May 1869, 4 y 8 m, Son of B and M A Brewer, *# Dahl, Cornelia Nall; b. 1868, d. 1948 Deveney, Joseph R; b. 1919, d. 1962 Galloway, George; d. 20 Jul 1871, 8 weeks, Son of G W and A Galloway Gimlin, Milton Jr; b. 29 Sep 1912, d. 05 Jul 1997, Loving Husband and Father Goertz, ;, * Goodman, E Ruth Jones; b. 1917 Goodman, John Davis (Witkoski); b. 1910, d. 1994 Hartner, H;, * Hartner, Mildred Ann; b. 1911, d. 2006, Amos Family metal marker Henderson, Mary E; d. 23 May 1888, Wife of ?
