Obituary of C. M. KINGSLEY
C. M. Kingsley, 91, 2710 Canal Blvd., died Wednesday, September 26, 2001, at Hays Medical Center, Hays.

He was born August 25, 1910, at Ellis, the son of Clarence and Mary Johnson Kingsley.

He married Grace Walker on August 25, 1933, at Lamar, Colorado. She preceded him in death January 21, 1991.

He was a farmer, a member of the First United Methodist Church, and a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 195 A.F. & A. M., all of Hays; a member of the Shriners Isis Temple, Salina; and a former Isis Band member.

He grew up in rural Ellis County and was a graduate of Fort Hays State College. He was an instrumental music instructor in high school for 11 years at Greensburg and Lyons. He lived in Russell from 1952 til 1966, then moved to Hays.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife; and two brothers, Darwin and Orville Kingsley.

Survivors include; one son, Dr. Keith Kingsley, D.V.M., Hays; one daughter , Cheryl Young, Wichita; one brother, Mahlon Kingsley, Ellis, six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 29, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Miller and Rev. Cynthia Smart, officiating.

Burial will be at Mount Allen Cemetery, Hays.
Visitation is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Cline's Mortuary of Hays, and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church.

Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church Chimes Fund.
