Obituary of FRANCIS LEE KINGSTON |
Francis Lee Kingston, 77, Hoisington, died Thursday,
April 11, 2002, at Clara Barton Hospital, Hoisington. He was born December 22, 1924, at Great Bend, the son of Francis J. and Ada Mae Taylor Kingston. Francis married Eleanor H. Prosser February 11, 1947, at Hoisington. She died may 16, 1979. He was a lifetime resident of Barton County, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, but of Hoisington. Survivors include: one son, Bob Kingston, Lincoln, Nebraska; two daughters, Arletta Gildersleve, Lenexa, and Eileen Warner, Lee's Summitt, Missouri; two sisters, Marie Kingston and Mary Maude Dirks, both of Great Bend; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by: two sons, Ray and Curtis Kingston; and one sister, Ruth Smith. Funeral service was Monday, April 15, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Hoisington, with Fr. Pascal Klein officiating. Burial was at St. John Cemetery, Hoisington, with Military graveside rites by VFW Post No. 7428 and American Legion Post No. 286, Hoisington. Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, P.O. Box 146, Hoisington, KS 67544. |
