CRABTREE
Sherri Gregory (sgregory1@neb.rr.com) 18 July 2008
Several CRABTREE families migrated to Cheyenne County, Kansas early in the
1900's, taking advantage of the Homestead Act to prove up on places along the
"north divide" between St. Francis, Kansas and Parks, Nebraska. They previously
lived in Cass County, Nebraska and Scioto County, Ohio.
CAMPBELL...ORCUTT
Chuck Lingren (clingren@brookings.net) 04 July 2008
What
do you know about Samuel and Pearl CAMPBELL and Samuel CAMPBELL's mother,
Elizabeth (ORCUTT) CAMPBELL. I know that Elizabeth is buried in the Tarpley
Ridgevale cemetery at St. Francis, and that she died in 1888. I know little
else. I know that Samuel moved there from Iowa, and that Pearl moved to Colorado
upon his death in 1894. What else can you tell me?

BOUCHER...SENGER
Kaycee Dye (DyeKM@ci.north-platte.ne.us) 5 June 2007
My name is Kaycee Dye and I live in North Platte, Nebraska and work at
the North Platte Public Library. The reason I'm mailing you is to see if
you would have any information on a man who got married in Bird City,
Kansas in 1958.
We had a lady come to the Library who works for
the local hi-rise retirement home here in North Platte. There was a
gentleman living there who passed away on Monday. He only talked about a
daughter and no one else. They found a marriage license in his personal
belongings and nothing else that might give information on living
relatives. He had also shown pictures in his wallet to people but no one
knows who the pictures are or they don't remember. We were wondering if
you might be able to find any information on him through the marriage
license? They filed for the license on November 14, 1958
Donald
BOUCHER of Bird City, Kansas, age 30
Freda SENGER, of Bird City,
Kansas, age 19
Married on November 16, 1958, the certificate was
signed by Ralph R Radkoff (spelling ?), Pastor
It is stamped
with the Cheyenne County Seal with the date 11th day of September 2003.
We can't read the words that are stamped by the seal, just the date that
was written in. The name of the Clerk of the District Court in 2003 was
Sharon Elliott, anyway it's her signature by the stamp. Also on the top
of the page is P.J. no. 3808. I don't know what that means.
Thank you for any help and let me know if there is a cost involved. We
would love to find someone to let them know he's gone if there is anyone
to find.
ENOS
Charles Enos (cden1@comcast.net) 6 May 2007
From various family stories I've been led to believe that my Great Great
Great Uncle William George ENOS died in Jaqua, Kansas April 1, 1913 and
in buried in the Jaqua cemetery. If this is the case, then he has some
connection to Cheyenne county and could be included in the list of
surnames. I'm trying to confirm when/where he was born and how long he
had been in Cheyenne county. I believe he - and perhaps some of his
children - came from Decatur county sometime after 1895.
