Sharon Kaye (Wilson) Simpson

Sharon Kaye Simpson, 65, died October 11, 2007 at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital. She was born March 7, 1942 at Wichita, the daughter of Robert R. II and Mary Louise (Bolejack) Wilson. A longtime resident of Medicine Lodge, coming from Wichita, she was a Homemaker and a Cosmetologist for 3 years. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Wichita, where she was a Deaconess, Sabeth School Teacher and Pathfinder Youth Leader, P.O.A.C. and A.Q.H.A, and was involved with 4-H and Motor Cross Racing with her children.

On November 19, 1960 she married Roger Lee Simpson at Lincoln, Nebraska. He survives. Other survivors include four sons, Roger Lee Simpson, Jr., (Chantae), Kiowa; Scott Simpson (Denise), Hays; Steven Simpson, Wichita; and Bryan (Christy) Simpson, Pratt; a daughter Sharla (John) Platt, Medicine Lodge; her mother, Mary Louise Kinnaman, Wichita; three sisters, Shirley (Chuck) Fisher-Langloys, Wichita; Sharman (Darold) Hauserman, Tulsa, OK; and Sharlene Mathis, Wichita, and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Robert R. Wilson II, and brother Robert Wilson III.

Graveside services were held on Monday, October 15, 2007 with Pastor Tom Walters presiding.

Memorials may be sent to Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital in care of the funeral home.
