Marjorie Shelite

Marjorie Shelite, 80, died Saturday, January 14, 2006 at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital, Medicine Lodge.

She was born June 24, 1925 at Hunter, Oklahoma, the daughter of Perry and Bertha (Dugan) Moore. A resident of Sharon since 1959 coming from Hennessee, Oklahoma, she attended Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education. She was a teacher at Sharon and Attica for 31 years retiring in 1987.

She was a member of Community Bible Fellowship Church, Medicine Lodge. On November 27, 1952, she married Everett Shelite at Hunter, Oklahoma. He died June 2, 2000.

Survivors include two sons Rockne Shelite, Kiowa, and Monte Shelite, Medicine Lodge; two daughters Martha McDaniel and Robin Inslee, both of Sharon; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother Arthur Moore and a sister Betty Benson.

The funeral was on Monday, January 16 at Community Bible Fellowship, Medicine Lodge with Pastors Dwain Richert and Justin Mourn officiating. Burial was in Attica Cemetery, Attica, Kansas.

Larrison Funeral Home, Medicine Lodge was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be sent to Sharon Alumni Association or Community Bible Fellowship Youth Group in care of the funeral home.
