Daphna LaRue (Hamilton) Baessler

Daphna LaRue Baessler, 75, died Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at Hutchinson Hospital, Hutchinson.

She was born August 26, 1931 at Sun City, Kansas, the daughter of John B. and Angie E. (Warren) Hamilton. A resident of Sharon since 1979, most recently living in Medicine Lodge, she was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, and embroidery, and loved to read.

On May 20, 1951 she married Moritz Jack Baessler at Sun City. He died November 12, 2005.

Survivors include two sons Dale Baessler, Kingman, and Gale Baessler and his wife Karen, Coldwater; a daughter Cynthia Bowman and her husband Bud, Marlo, Oklahoma; 3 sisters Gayle Brokuch, Lakewood, Colorado; Otilia Garten, Medicine Lodge, Kansas, Johnan Jacob, Isabel, Kansas; a brother John Hamilton of Yerington, Nevada; grandchildren; Tyler Baessler, Amy Bowman, Carter Bowman, Molly Houseman, Seth Cantrall, and Chelsea Cantrall; two great grandchildren, John Jackson Baessler, and Shakto Houseman.

She was preceded in death by a son Thad Cantrall; a brother Bill Hamilton and a sister Zeta Chinn.

Private family graveside will be held at a later date at Sunnyside Cemetery, Sun City, Kansas.

Memorials may be made to Sunnyside Cemetery in care of Larrison Funeral Home, Medicine Lodge.
