Barbara J (Mulford) Peace

July 13, 1953 ~ May 13, 2019

Barbara (Mulford) "Mama" Peace, age 65 of Osgood passed away on May 13, 2019 at Margaret Mary Health Hospital in Batesville.

She was born on July 13, 1953, the daughter of the late Joseph and Sylvia (Augustin) Mulford in Milan, IN. Barb was a resident of the Osgood community her entire life. Barb was a 1971 graduate of Jac-Cen-Del High School. She grew up fast after losing her mother at a young age. Barb's maternal instincts took over as she cared for her brother and sisters. While working at the Dogs and Suds in Osgood, a guy in a 69 green Charger caught her eye. Joseph "Wayne" Peace and Barb were united in marriage on January 15, 1972. A couple months after marriage, Barb was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and the two of them would courageously fight this together for the next forty seven years. The marriage was blessed with two daughters, Becky and Holley. Barb had always been a giver in early adulthood and life would continue to see her do the same. She was a faithful member of the Osgood United Methodist Church. She worked the Fishes and Loaves food pantry for years, served as a Girl Scout leader for fifteen years, and took a group weekly to Manderley to help the residents. She enjoyed being a member of the Osgood Refunders Club in the 80's, was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan, and listened to Marty and Joe anytime she was able.

She will deeply missed by husband Wayne, daughters Becky (Jason) Horn and Holley Rose all of Osgood , grandsons Stephan, Cory, Gage, Branson, Riley, Jace, Phoenix, Keith, Dustin (Faith), and William, great grandsons Landon and Korbin, brother Dan (Judy) Mulford of Osgood, sister Kathy Brown of Versailles, and numerous niece and nephews, who loved their Aunt Barb.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Mary Mulford, and son in-law Patrick Rose.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 21, 2019 from 10 am.- 1 pm., with funeral services, Tuesday at 1 pm, at Osgood United Methodist Church.
