Gerri S. Davidson, of Sunman, was born on September 5, 1936 in Williamsburg, Kentucky,
Gerri is the daughter of James and Grace Ball Smith. She married Phillip Davidson on December 21, 1957 at the Asbury Tabernacle in Cincinnati. Gerri was a homemaker and had a passion for reading. Her ministry in life was sending goodwill cards and notes to those who needed encouragement or were ill – and her kind words touched many. She also loved to bake, especially brownies and cookies for her family. On Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the age of 81, Gerri passed away at her residence, surrounded by loving family.
Those surviving who will cherish Gerri’s memory include her husband of nearly 60 years, Phillip Davidson; daughters, Pamela (Larry) Fette of Harrison, OH, Phyllis (Rick) Knueven of Sunman, and Tonja (Mark) McClain of Red Key; 7 grandchildren, Karl Zoller, Kara (Joe) Schott, Ashley Knueven, Cade Knueven, Emily Carnder, Shelby McClain and Sarah McClain; 5 great-grandchildren, Karmen Zoller, Kailyn Zoller, Aidin Roberts, Masen Roberts, and Logan Schott, and one brother, Jack Smith of Williamsburg, KY.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dallas E. and James Smith.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman. Pastor Saul Davidson will officiate the service.
Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery.
