John Harlan Yoke

John Harlan Yoke, 84, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008, at Rosegate Healthcare Center in Indianapolis. He was a lifelong resident of Acton.

Survivors include a daughter, Denise Yoke; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles A. and Audrae O. (Showalter) Yoke; his wife, Margaret (Newhouse) Yoke; and a sister, Rose Marie Swails.

The Rev. Greg Glover will conduct a service at 1 p.m. today at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 9950 Southeastern Ave., Indianapolis. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time today at the church. Burial will be at Acton Cemetery. Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service, Stirling-Gerber Chapel, is hand­ling arrangements.
