Death of F. C. Williams
F. C. Williams, formerly of the Daily Herald of this city, died at the Providence hospital in Washington, D. C. on last Friday morning at 4 o’clock. He had been sick for about three weeks with typhoid fever. The funeral took place on Monday morning; the remains being taken in charge by the typographical union of that city, of which he was a member.
Mr. Williams was here about two months ago and at that time seemed in excellent health. In 1889 he accepted a position in the government printing office under the Cleveland administration which place he held until a short time ago. Mrs. Williams, a most estimable lady, died at their home in Washington but a few months ago.
The printing material of the old Daily Herald is still stored away in his old place of business in this city. Sam Eccles has been appointed administrator of the estate.
