Rev. Willis S. Webb, age sixty-three, died April 13 at his home in Girard, Kansas. His death was due to a paralytic stroke sustained about five years ago. Deceased was a cousin of James F. Webb, John Webb and others in Johnson County and at one time resided here. He attended Franklin College and afterward attended the Western Seminary where he fitted himself for the Baptist ministry. His funeral took place on Easter Sunday and was conducted by Rev. I. N. Clark, now of Kansas City, but many years ago pastor of Second Mt. Pleasant church.

Note: Kansas Deaths and Burials, 1885-1930, database, citing Girard, Kansas, reference Book 1888-1904 page 75, records that Willie [sic] S. Webb died 14 Apr 1900 in Girard, Kansas and was buried the same day [sic]. He was white, married and a sixty-three-years-old minister, born in 1837.
