Irvin E. Ungeright
Irvin E. Ungeright, 82, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2002, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Indianapolis.
He was born Oct. 4, 1919, in Indianapolis. His parents were Herman C. and Helen (Wells) Ungeright. He married Emma Lee on Jan 16, 1967. She survives. Other survivors include a stepson, Larry Yazell of Seymour; a daughter, Barbara J. Terrell of Columbus, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Deborah K. Brooks of Flat Rock; two sisters, Martha Street of Arizona and Betty Heitzman of Richmond; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister.
He was employed by the Indianapolis Department of Transportation. He retired in 1992.
He was a member of Southport United Methodist Church, Moose of Columbus, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was U.S. Army Air Forces veteran.
The Rev. Mark Fisher conducted a service Monday at Forest Lawn Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home, State Road 135 Chapel. Burial was at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in White River Township.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at Methodist or Southport United Methodist Church.
