Ada C. (Sears) Toon, 90, died Sunday, May 9, 2004, at her residence in Indianapolis. She was a former resident of Odon.
She was born Aug. 29, 1913, in Odon. Her parents were Chase and Millie (Bechtel) Sears. She married Edward J. Toon on May 7, 1936, in Odon. He preceded her in death in August 1988. Survivors include a daughter, Helen F. Johnson of Indianapolis; a twin sister, Edith C. Scott of Odon; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Leo Sears.
She was employed by Crane Naval Ammunition Depot as an ammunition assembler, retiring in 1975.
She was a member of Odon First Christian Church, Rebekah Lodge and American Legion Auxiliary, all in Odon.
A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Poindexter-Hall-McClure Funeral Home, 301 W. Main St. in Odon. Friends may call from noon until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon. Local arrangements are being handled by Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center in Indianapolis.
