Max Gregory Tillison
Max Gregory Tillison, 49, died June 15, 2006. He was a resident of Fairland.
He was born April 17, 1957, in Beech Grove to the late Max Wilkins and Betty Lou (Spear) Tillison.
Survivors include his stepfather, A. Dale Stucker of Fairland; three sons, Max G. Tillison Jr., Cody W. Tillison and Zachary A. Tillison, all of Shelbyville; a daughter, Ashley E. (Ty) Brown of Shelbyville; six grandchildren; a sister, Dee (Tim) Johnson of Fairland; and a brother, Douglas A. Tillison of Mount Dora, Fla.
He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Christian F. Tillison; and a brother, Roger Stucker.
Formerly, he worked at Knauf in Shelbyville and he was employed in the maintenance department at the VA hospital in Nashville, Tenn., from 1995 to 2005. Mr. Tillison served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Shelbyville and Fairland Baptist Church.
The Rev. Vernand McClanahan will conduct a memorial service at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Friends may gather from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Acton Cemetery with military graveside rites.
