Jesse Thurston was buried at 2nd Mt. Pleasant [sic] last Sunday. He had been sick for a long time.
Note: Indiana, Death Certificates, 1899–2011, Hendricks Township, Shelby County, page 315 records that Jesse C. Thurston died from tuberculosis of about a year’s duration on 29 Dec 1899 in Henricks Township, Shelby County, Indiana, aged thirty-three years. He was male, white married and a farmer. His father’s name was Elija [sic] Thurston (born in Franklin County, Indiana) and his mother’s maiden name Elizabeth Belanger (born in Ripley County, Indiana). He was buried in Hendricks Township on 31 Dec 1899, D. B. Wilson & Son, undertakers.
