Howard D. Stickford
Howard D. Stickford, 82, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, at Select Specialty Hospital. He was a resident of Indianapolis.
He was born Oct. 24, 1919, in Waldron. His parents were Roger and Iva (Reed) Stickford. He married Wilmajean (Austin) Stickford. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Gary and Barry Stickford, both of Indianapolis; a sister, Marjorie Ruth Bedard of Sebring, Fla.; and a brother, Robert Harrison of Loogootee.
He retired in 1980 from the quality control division of Eli Lilly after 35 years of employment.
He was a life member and 1999 inductee of the Indiana Bowlers Hall of Fame. He was a 50-year member of Prospect Lodge 714 F&AM. He was past editor of the Polebrook Post. He was a life member of the 8th Air Force Historical Society and 351st Bomb Group. He was a member of American Legion.
He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
A service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in White River Township.
