Mrs. Emma Reece [sic Reese] died Tuesday morning at her home near Tucker’s Ford, east of town. Deceased was eighty years old. One year ago, she was stricken with paralysis from which she had never recovered and which was the immediate cause of death. Funeral services will take place today at 10:30 o’clock at Second Mt. Pleasant church.

BENGAL.
The funeral of Mrs. Reese was well attended, owing to the rainy weather.

SECOND MT. PLEASANT.
J. T. Reece [sic] and wife, of Alexandria, who came to attend the burial of his mother, are still among friends here.
The funeral of the late Mrs. W. A. Reece [sic] was very largely attended. Brother Duncan conducted the services; he was assisted by Professor Hall. A noble woman has gone from us and will be sadly missed.
