Donald E. Patton
  Donald E. Patton, 78, died
Thursday, June 6, 2002, at his
residence in Indianapolis.
  He was born Feb. 2, 1924, in
Indianapolis. His parents were
Clarence and Mary Edith (Caveness)
Patton. He married Norma Patton.
She preceded him in death.
Survivors include his 20-year
companion, Dona Burke; five sons,
Donald L., Gary Steven, David E.,
Kevin M. and Scott H. Patton, all
of Indianapolis; nine grandchild-
ren; and two great-grandchildren. 
He was preceded in death by two 
brothers, Bruce Eugene and Raymond 
Patton.
  He owned and operated BFS: Patton's
Service Station for 45 years. He
was previously employed by Community 
Hospital East in Indianapolis in the
maintenance department.
  He enjoyed fishing.
  He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World
War II.
  A service will be conducted at 10
a.m. Monday at Forest Lawn Wilson
St. Pierre Funeral Home, State Road
135 Chapel. Friends may call from 4
to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral
home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn
Memory Gardens in White River
